i think this song just needs an upgrade. you need more experience with the program i think. i like the concept but i dont feel it was exacuted properly

Jay responds:

I agree, I either need to get better at mixing or find someone to mix for me. Thanks for the review.

:'( i hate doing this
ok so your loop is under a minute long thats not good. if you dont understand why try listening to it for 5 minutes every day for a week. second thing is you shouldnt use the preset fl keys. if you made this with the demo version im sorry but at least add some release and reverb. if you can make that piano beefier. the piano doesnt stand alone well if it doesnt have anything to hold it up(this would be the beef)the composition isnt bad but it needs some work. its a bit bland and doesnt really go anywhere(of course extending the song for about a minute should fix the problem) sorry for the rough review

RubberPanda responds:

i know its bad
i don't even know why i uploaded it

omg its retroman!!!
i like this song a lot it makes me all happy inside. it is a good blend between house and dance but i think the dance elements could be more agressive to really elavate the song.

i would like to hear a little more progression but other then that i like how this song makes you feel while listening to it i just feel that with out more progression it will get old to fast

The-Cockenator responds:

Well it isnt supose to be progressive cus it dosent have the right atmo to be progressive unless i use more happy synths but thanks anyways :D

the chorus synth (it could be string but im guessing) should have a softer attack i think. when it hits to had it sounds more fake. on the otherside i love the composition of this piece it is both beautiful and captivating

foxhead128 responds:

Thanks for your feedback. I might submit an update incorporating that suggestion.

this is very nice :). i think the lead in 58 is a little strong. another thing is when the lead comes in it makes the soft synths sound sloppy.

i think that your soft synths in the back need a little more strenght and stability. while listening you can tell that theyre there but you cant really tell whats going on with them

foxhead128 responds:

Thanks for the feedback! I might eventually roll out a Battle Experiment #8.2 that addresses the issue you're talking about. Incidentally, those are strings, not synths.

this is a very beautiful song. you got what sounds like a mastering problem when the strings come in.

Ritz190 responds:

mhmm. wasn't sure how to make the strings come in. they sound really weird to me. but thanks alot for the review!

you cant have a 15 sec loop sir. its like putting mustard on your icecream nobody really wants it. the drums are to heavy for ambient as well

g4ebguyGT responds:

After listening to your music, I don't believe you have any room to talk here. This song has emotion that is the point of the hardstyle drum and soft pad. Your not even close to being in a club or hardstyle genre so stay out of my territory.

hearing this song instantly brought a smile to my face. not quite because the sng but because of the elements in the song. i can tell your fairly new to music making do your self a favor and be careful with arps. they can make your music both fly and crash. the arp that came in at 23 wasnt a good choice. i hope you can understand what im talking about

skylukewalker99 responds:

Okay, thanks for the advice on the arps. I'll edit this song a little to make the arps better, and message you when i re-upload.

sup i make music and a bit of art i use fl11 right now. ive been in 3 orchestras a heavy metal band and an alternative rock band . i started composing when i was 10 on the piano and ive been in involved with orchestras since i was 12.
